About La Terraza

La Terraza is a highly desirable gated community in Rancho Mirage, California. If offers privacy and comfort while having access to many venues and activities.

La Terraza homes feature covered patios, soaring ceilings, cozy fireplaces, hardwood flooring, and gourmet kitchens with granite counters and stainless steel appliances. Many homes have been upgraded with crown moldings, wall treatments, and lighting. Residents can relax in their own retreats with the master suite and bathroom. And when it’s time to entertain, the backyards offer an oasis of sparkling pools, cascading waterfalls, built-in barbecue pits, and tropical palms. There is extra storage space in some of the garages and plenty of parking; even room for RV’s. There are highly rated public schools here including James Earl Carter Elementary, Palm Desert Charter Middle School, and Palm Desert High School.

La Terraza is minutes away from some of the best shopping in the region. The River features a complex of restaurants and theatres. And the famous El Paseo Drive is a mile-long district full of posh boutiques and is often referred to as the Rodeo Drive of the Desert. Residents are also close to everyday services and stores like Costco and Home Depot.

The resort city of Rancho Mirage is one of Coachella Valley’s nine cities. For years the economy relied on resort golfing and low paying rentals. Recently it has also included commerce and light industry near I-10 along with the upscale retail centers.

The Agua Caliente Casino, opened in 2002, is a popular destination. The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians operates this resort which includes a 16-story hotel. There is also a theater for famous acts which opened in 2009. The casino is just outside the city border but Rancho Mirage and tribal leaders agreed to designate it as part of the city so it would have services from the police and fire departments.
